The demands, expectations, and stresses have never been higher on our law enforcement professional, their families and the civilians that support them.

Paraclete walks alongside these special people and their families at no cost to the officer, their family, the department, agency, or training academy. We simply give away this vital ministry to truly protect those who protect us.

While there has been significant improvement in attention to the Wellness of officers through Critical Incident Stress Management, peer support, and access to clinical support, the spiritual element continues to trail behind.

We believe that the “greatest threat to officers and their families in not bullets, vehicles, or suspect, but the daily attack on their soul” through the violence, brutality, horrific scenes, disrespect, internal struggles, marriage stresses, financial stress, and shift work that take a tremendous toll.

We see the vital importance of PROACTIVE preparation for officers and their families. Training and resources for healthy relationships/marriages and the prevention of divorce and broken homes. Preparation for the suffering officer and their families will experience in carrying out their calling. (Preparing in advance for the attack on their very soul and home.). Attention to the foundation of faith as more than an afterthought through mentoring and discipleship. And most importantly the protection of the soul, alongside the Mental, physical, emotional, and behavioral.

To be even more intentional, we must focus our attention where all officers converge, new and seasoned, The Academy. This is where preparation, prevention and strengthening converges to help the most officers and ultimately their families.
